How to Check an Online Casino Licence

Find the licence holder, search the regulator's own register, and know what the register cannot confirm

What a casino licence is

The distinction between brand and company matters in practice. Richard Casino, SkyCrown and Stay Casino are three separate brands, but their terms name the same company, Metlait SRL, and the same Tobique licence. A search for “SkyCrown” on the Tobique register finds nothing, while a search for “Metlait” finds the entry.

This guide uses the licence checks behind our casino reviews, which cover 30 casinos. The licences those casinos cite to Australian visitors come from two regulators: the Curaçao Gaming Authority and the Tobique Gaming Commission. Neither is an Australian regulator. A third, Anjouan, has licensed the operators of several of them, or companies their terms do not name, and its register lists their websites. Every status and date below comes from the regulator’s own register, with the check date shown.

Example: checking RocketPlay against the Curaçao register

Most licence checks end like this one: the company is confirmed, and the link between that company and the website rests on the operator’s word unless a domain-level certificate can be found.

Extract from the Curaçao Gaming Authority's Online Gaming License Registry. Under the column headings license number, licensee, company type, company registration number, issued, expires and status license, the highlighted row 575 shows licence OGL/2024/1307/0748 for Scores55 Tech N.V., a B2C licensee with company registration number 162990, no expiry date and the status Indefinite. The page footer reads Last updated September 21, 2026, page 20 of 28.

How to check a casino licence in five steps

1. Find the licence line and the company

Start with the casino’s terms and conditions and the footer of the homepage. Among the casinos we cover, the licence line usually sits near the start of the terms, often in clause 1.1. A complete licence line names the operating company, its registration number and country, the regulator and a licence number. RocketPlay, WinSpirit, Ricky Casino and the Metlait SRL brands (Crownslots, Golden Crown Casino, Neospin, Richard Casino, SkyCrown, SpinRise and Stay Casino) put all of these in their terms. Woo Casino states them in its footer (Woo Casino homepage footer) and in clause 1.1 of the copy of its terms under the site’s Australian locale path (Woo Casino terms, en-AU).

Write down the company name exactly, including N.V., B.V., SRL or similar, and the registration number. You will need both, because the register is organised by company.

2. Open the regulator’s own register

Go to the regulator’s register yourself rather than following a link or badge on the casino’s site. The registers relevant to the casinos we cover are:

Note the date of the register edition. The Curaçao file prints “Last updated” on every page; the Tobique page shows no update date.

3. Search for the company and match its details

Search the register for the company name, then for the licence number. On the Curaçao register, compare the registration number as well; it is the most reliable match, because names and legal-form suffixes vary between documents. The RocketPlay example above shows a case where the suffix differs and the number does not.

If the company is missing, try the licence number on its own. If neither appears, the claim is not confirmed by that regulator, whatever the casino’s footer says.

4. Read the status and dates

The Curaçao register gives each licence an issue date, an expiry date and a status column (CGA register). The Tobique page gives only an expiry date and a licence type. An expiry date in the past, or a status such as “Expired”, “Revoked” or “Assessment in progress”, is a reason to look further before treating the licence as current. The section on reading the status column explains the wording.

5. Check that the licence covers the website

Where the register lists domains, as Anjouan’s does, search it for the website’s address as well as the company. The Curaçao and Tobique registers do not answer this question, so it needs a separate check, and each of those regulators has a domain-level mechanism:

  • Curaçao: the Curaçao Gaming Authority issues a “Certificate of Operation Seal” to B2C licensees for player-facing websites operating “under an approved and registered domain”. Clicking the seal must lead to cert.cga.cw, and the certificate page “must display the exact domain name being accessed, the licensed operator, and the operator’s current license status” (CGA Certification Policy).
  • Tobique: the Tobique Gaming Commission says its “Tobique Shield” is displayed in the footer of all Tobique-licensed websites, and that “all legitimate Tobique Shields will show the link validate.thetgc.ca” (TGC Complaints page).

Click the seal in the casino’s footer and check the address bar: the certificate must open on cert.cga.cw or validate.thetgc.ca, not on the casino’s own domain. Then check that the domain shown on the certificate is the one you are visiting.

Whichever route confirms the domain, compare the licence it names with the one in the terms you are shown. A domain listed under a licence the site does not mention confirms that licence for the domain; it does not change which licence and complaints route the terms rely on.

What the registers show and what they do not

The Curaçao and Tobique registers confirm that a company holds a licence; neither lists the websites a licence covers. Anjouan’s register does. The Curaçao register’s columns are licence number, licensee, company type, registration number, issued, expires and status (CGA register). The Tobique page’s columns are company name, licence expiration date and licence type, with no licence numbers (TGC License Holders). Anjouan’s columns are company, status, licence number, licence type, issue and expiry dates, and domains (Anjouan Licence Register). The table sets out what each register can and cannot confirm.

What each register can confirm
What you want to confirm Curaçao register Tobique License Holders page Anjouan Licence Register
The company holds a licence Yes Yes Yes
The licence number in the casino’s footer Yes No, numbers are not published Yes, if the footer names the Anjouan licence
The company’s registration number Yes No No
Issue date Yes No Yes
Expiry date or status Both Expiry date only Both
Which websites the licence covers No; the domain certificate is separate No; the footer shield is separate Yes, listed per licence

The last row is the one that matters most: of the three, only Anjouan’s register confirms a website. The Curaçao certificate service makes the same distinction. Its policy separates a “License Certificate”, which “is not domain-specific”, from the domain-level Certificate of Operation (CGA Certification Policy). A licence certificate shown on a casino site therefore proves less than it seems to. RollXO’s domain-level certificate is the kind that counts: it states that “rollxo.com is operated by Stable Tech N.V.” under licence OGL/2024/161/0191 (CGA certificate for rollxo.com), and the register lists that licence as active. Only RollXO’s international terms name that company and licence, though; the Australian-locale terms leave both out.

Reading the status column

On the Curaçao register, the RocketPlay and WinSpirit licence holders’ entries show “Indefinite” with an expiry of “N/A”. Fixed-term entries show an issue date and an expiry date, often with the status column left blank. Other entries read “Expired”, “Assessment in progress” or “Revoked as of” a date (CGA register, 21 September 2026). We record the wording as printed and do not translate it into a stronger claim.

Bizzo Casino’s licence shows why that matters. The register lists licence OGL/2024/590/0758 for TechSolutions Group B.V. as issued on 14 October 2025 and expiring on 14 April 2026, with the status “Assessment in progress” (CGA register, 21 September 2026). The expiry date has passed, but the register does not say “Expired”. The March 2026 edition showed the same dates with an empty status column. We therefore record the status as under assessment, following the register’s wording, and treat the licence as neither active nor expired.

Spinline’s licence shows a register and a certificate disagreeing. The CGA Certificate of Operation reached from the seal on spinline.com says the site “is operated by GBL Solutions N.V.” under licence OGL/2024/589/0556, granted on 14 April 2025, and that its “current status is Active” (CGA certificate for spinline.com). The register of 21 September 2026 prints the same licence as Assessment in progress (expiry "April 14, 2026") (CGA register, 21 September 2026); that expiry date has already passed. We follow the register and record the status as under assessment. Australian visitors are redirected away from spinline.com to an address where the seal is a plain image and the terms name no company (Spinline site data), so the certificate is reachable only from the official domain. Spinline’s sister brand Slota Casino is in the same position: the CGA’s certificate for slota.casino names the same company and licence and also says “Active” (CGA certificate for slota.casino), while Australian visitors are redirected to an address whose terms name no company.

Bizzo Casino carries a further caveat that no register entry changes. ACMA’s formal warning dated 1 August 2022 names TechSolutions Group N.V. as “a provider of the Bizzo Casino service” (ACMA formal warning), and that warning names Bizzo alone. A second warning, dated 8 July 2025, names Consolutetish S.R.L. as “a provider of the National Casino and Bizzo Casino services” (ACMA formal warning to Consolutetish S.R.L.). ACMA’s September 2022 announcement also listed Bizzo Casino among websites it had asked Australian internet providers to block (ACMA blocking announcement). That listing is not unique to Bizzo: when we checked, the list held the official domains of 16 of the 30 casinos this guide draws on, whether licensed in Curaçao or by Tobique (ACMA blocked-websites list). Bizzo’s own terms name no operator, so the link between the licence and the casino comes from regulators, not from the casino.

Tobique licences

Tobique checks confirm the company but not the licence number. Richard Casino’s terms state that Metlait SRL “operates under license no. 0000064 issued by the Tobique Gaming Commission” (Richard Casino terms, clause 1.1). The License Holders page lists Metlait S.R.L with a B2C licence and a separate B2B licence, but no number for either. We record the B2C licence as active, expiring on 16 April 2027.

The Commission also runs a domain validator, but a plain domain query is not a usable check. A query for example.com, which is not a casino, returned “Operating status: INVALID” and “The above service is NOT licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission” on 1 October 2026 (TGC validator, control query). Our researchers got the same answer for rickycasino.com, woocasino.com, skycrown.com and richardcasino.com, and for a licensee domain whose own seal link showed it as valid. The meaningful result is the one reached by clicking the shield in the casino’s footer, which carries a seal token the plain query lacks. Followed from the footers of Crownslots, Golden Crown Casino, Neospin and SpinRise, that link opened validator pages listing www.crownslots.com, goldencrowncasino.com, neospin.com and www.spinrise.com as registered websites of Metlait SRL with the status “VALID” (TGC validator, Crownslots; TGC validator, Golden Crown Casino; TGC validator, Neospin; TGC validator, SpinRise).

A current register entry also says nothing about a brand’s history. Stay Casino’s terms name Metlait SRL and the Tobique licence, yet ACMA’s formal warning of 22 February 2022 named a different company, Hollycorn N.V. of Curaçao, as “the provider of the Stay Casino and Golden Crown Casino services” and found that it had contravened subsection 15(2A) of the Interactive Gambling Act; a second warning of the same date went to Libergos Limited (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2022; ACMA warning to Libergos Limited, 2022). The other Metlait SRL brands we cover have similar records: ACMA warned Hollycorn N.V. over SkyCrown in 2022 (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2022), Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited over Neospin in 2022 and Hollycorn N.V. again in 2025 (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2022; ACMA warning to Libergos Limited, 2022; ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2025), both companies over Richard Casino in 2024 (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2024; ACMA warning to Libergos Limited, 2024), and Hollycorn N.V. twice in 2025 as a provider of the Crown Slots service (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., February 2025; ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., August 2025). None of those warnings names Metlait SRL, while ACMA’s warning of 25 May 2026 about SpinRise, another brand whose terms name Metlait SRL, is addressed to Metlait SRL itself (ACMA warning to Metlait SRL, 2026). The warnings about the two Novatrix SRL brands, Ricky Casino in 2022 (ACMA warning to Dama N.V., 2022) and Woo Casino in 2025 (ACMA warning to Dama N.V., 2025), are addressed to Dama N.V., as are those about RocketPlay, whose terms name Scores55 Tech B.V. (ACMA warning to Dama N.V., 2022; ACMA warning to Dama N.V., 2025). We could not establish whether the warned companies are related to the operators the terms name. Neither register records these warnings, so check ACMA’s published enforcement actions as well as the licence. RollXO is a similar case: its international terms name Stable Tech N.V., while ACMA’s warning of 18 October 2024 named Dama N.V. as “a provider of the RollXO service” (ACMA formal warning to Dama N.V.). Lucky Ones is another: the version of its terms shown outside Australia names Just Entertainment B.V., while ACMA’s warning of 31 October 2024 found that Dama N.V. “is the provider of the Service” (ACMA formal warning to Dama N.V.); ACMA’s 2025 warning about a numbered Lucky Ones service went to Just Entertainment B.V. Spinline runs the other way: no warning names Spinline, but ACMA has warned the company that spinline.com names as its operator, GBL Solutions N.V., and its payment agent, Ramtinar Techconsult Limited, as providers of two other services, in 2023 and 2026 (ACMA investigations page).

Anjouan licences

Anjouan’s register is the quickest domain check where it applies, because each row ends with the domains the licence covers. Metlait SRL’s licence ALSI-202509073-FI2 lists crownslots.com, goldencrowncasino.com, neospin.com, richardcasino.com, skycrown.com, spinrise.com and staycasino.com among its domains (Anjouan Licence Register; Anjouan Licence Register, Crownslots), and we record it as active, expiring on 29 September 2027. Novatrix SRL’s licence ALSI-202508056-FI2 lists rickycasino.com and woocasino.com (Anjouan Licence Register). The register gives no company registration number, so the holder is matched by name and domain.

These are second licences. The terms and footers these casinos show Australian visitors name only their Tobique licence. Richard Casino and Stay Casino hold Anjouan versions of their licence clause in their page code, shown to visitors from some other countries, not to Australian visitors (Stay Casino terms, page data). So the Anjouan listing confirms the domain under a licence the operator holds, while the terms you accept still point to Tobique and its complaints route. A seal alone is not enough: the site code of CrownPlay, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck loads an Anjouan seal that could not be resolved, and the register lists none of their domains (VikingLuck site code; Anjouan register, VikingLuck search; Anjouan Licence Register; Neon54 site code; Anjouan register, Neon54 search; StoneVegas site code; Anjouan register, StoneVegas search).

A domain on the register can also point to a company the casino never names. Anjouan lists gambloria.com under licence ALSI-182407008-FI1, held by Eventa Digital Limitada; the row reads Valid (expiry date shown 2026-07-04) (Anjouan Licence Register, Gambloria). That expiry date has passed, yet the status column still says “valid”. Gambloria’s terms name a different company, Bitosa Dynamics Ltd, and no licence at all (Gambloria terms, clause 1.2). The register therefore ties the domain to a licence, but not to the company whose terms a player accepts.

Crowngreen is a second case. Anjouan lists crowngreen.com under licence ALSI-202411028-FI1, held by Royal Flush Ventures Ltd; the row reads Valid (expiry date shown 2026-10-31) (Anjouan Licence Register, Crowngreen). The terms and footer Crowngreen shows Australian visitors name 3-102-956921 SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA, a Costa Rican company, and no licence, while the footer shown outside Australia names Royal Flush Ventures and the Anjouan licence (Crowngreen footer, by visitor location). Spinathlon runs the other way: its pages name no company at all, but the Anjouan seal script in its page code opens a validator page that lists spinathlon.com under Win Top Ltd’s licence ALSI-202509029-FI1, and the register row agrees: Valid (expiry date shown 2027-09-15) (Anjouan validator for spinathlon.com; Anjouan Licence Register, Spinathlon). There the regulator names the company the site leaves out.

Red flags

No operator named

A casino that names no company gives you nothing to search for. Ozwin Casino, Fair Go Casino, HellSpin, CrownPlay, DragonSlots, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck are the clearest cases among the casinos we cover; Spinathlon names none either, but its domain can be searched on Anjouan’s register, as above. Lucky Ones names its operator only in the version of its terms shown outside Australia, the three Stable Tech brands, RollXO, Goldex and Jet4Bet, only in their international terms, not in the Australian-locale terms or footer, and Spinline and Slota Casino only on spinline.com and slota.casino, not on the addresses Australian visitors are redirected to. DragonSlots’s About Us page calls it “a fully licensed casino” and points to a “license validator link in the footer”, but the footer’s validator area was empty and no page names a licence (DragonSlots About Us). HellSpin’s link to a company comes only from ACMA, whose 2022 warning named TechOptions Group B.V. as “the provider of the Hell Spin service” (ACMA formal warning to TechOptions Group B.V.) and whose 2025 warning names Chestoption Sociedad De Responsabilidad Limitada as “the provider of the Hell Spin and Vave services” (ACMA formal warning to Chestoption Sociedad De Responsabilidad Limitada). CrownPlay’s link likewise comes from ACMA’s 2025 warning to NovaForge Ltd, “a provider of the CrownPlay service” (ACMA warning to NovaForge Ltd, 2025), and Neon54’s from ACMA’s 2023 warnings to Rabidi N.V. and Araxio Development N.V. as providers of the Neon 54 service (ACMA warning to Rabidi N.V., 2023; ACMA warning to Araxio Development N.V., 2023). StoneVegas and VikingLuck have no such record: their terms refer only to “the company operating the Website”, and ACMA’s investigations page names neither (ACMA investigations page; ACMA investigations page, VikingLuck search). Fair Go Casino and Ozwin Casino have no formal warning; ACMA’s investigations page lists both among services it found in 2021 to be providing a prohibited interactive gambling service with an Australian customer link (ACMA investigations page).

Ozwin Casino: a trade name with no owner

What the terms state: The terms call the brand only "a trade name of the Casino" and name no operating company, registered address, licence or regulator. Verified — operator's own pages

“21.1 Ownership and Trademarks: “Ozwin Casino” is a trade name of the Casino. All rights, titles, and interests in the Casino brand, website, graphics, text, software, and any other materials are the exclusive property of the Casino.”

Source: Ozwin Casino Terms and Conditions (incl. Promotional, Slot Tournament, Lobby Jackpot and Refer-a-Friend terms) (Ozwin Casino), checked 30 September 2026.

Our analysis:

The clause defines the brand only by reference to “the Casino”, which is never identified. With no company name, registration number or regulator, there is no register entry to look up, and a player cannot tell which company holds their balance. We record no licence for Ozwin Casino.

Fair Go Casino is similar, with one exception. An undated US landing page says players “are protected by the license of the Curacao Gaming Authority” but gives no licence number or holder (Fair Go Casino US page). A licence claim without a holder cannot be checked, so we treat it as unconfirmed.

A company but no licence

Naming a company is not the same as naming a licence. Gambloria’s terms say the site is owned and operated by Bitosa Dynamics Ltd, and Lucky Capone’s name Neon Games S.R.L., both of Costa Rica, yet neither names a licence, a number or a regulator in its terms, and Lucky Capone’s footer licence block is empty (Gambloria terms, clause 1.2; Lucky Capone footer, Australian locale). Neither company appears on the Curaçao, Tobique or Anjouan registers we checked (CGA register, Gambloria search; Tobique License Holders; CGA register, Lucky Capone search; Anjouan register, Lucky Capone search). Both sets of terms point unresolved disputes, among other places, to “the licensing regulator listed on the Website”, and no regulator is listed. Crowngreen’s terms likewise name 3-102-956921 SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA but no licence, and that company is not on the Curaçao, Tobique or Anjouan registers either (CGA register, Crowngreen search; Tobique License Holders, Crowngreen search; Anjouan register, Crowngreen).

Licence claims that contradict each other

When the casino’s own pages disagree, believe the version you can verify. Ricky Casino’s homepage says “We have a real Curacao license and fully regulated by the law of Curacao” (Ricky Casino homepage), while its terms name only a Tobique licence.

Ricky Casino: which licence?

What the terms state: Owned and operated by Novatrix SRL (Costa Rica, reg. no. 3-102-893958) under Tobique Gaming Commission licence no. 0000002. Verified — operator's own pages

“The website rickycasino.com (“Casino”, “Website”, “Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) is owned and operated by Novatrix SRL, a company registered under the laws of Costa Rica. Registration number: 3-102-893958. Registered address: Cartago, Oreamuno, Potrero Cerrado, Cartago, 30703, Costa Rica. The Company operates under license no. 0000002 issued by the Tobique Gaming Commission.”

Source: Terms and Conditions (Ricky Casino (Novatrix SRL)), checked 30 September 2026.

Our analysis:

The terms give a company, a registration number and a Tobique licence number, and the Tobique register lists that company as a B2C licence holder. The homepage’s Curaçao claim names no holder and no number, so there is nothing to match on the Curaçao register. We treat the Tobique licence as the licence the operator claims and the Curaçao statement as an unsupported marketing line.

Smaller mismatches deserve a note rather than alarm. RocketPlay’s terms say “B.V.” where the register says “N.V.”, and Bizzo Casino’s operator appears as “N.V.” in ACMA’s warning and “B.V.” on the Curaçao register. Where the registration number agrees, a suffix difference is a discrepancy to record, not proof of a different company.

Licences you cannot find on the register

A licence number that appears only on third-party sites is not evidence. Review and look-alike sites attribute Ozwin Casino to Deckmedia N.V. under licence 1668/JAZ, but the Curaçao register dated 21 September 2026 returned no match for “Deckmedia”, “1668” or “Ozwin” (CGA register search for Ozwin). The same register has no entry for “Fair Go” or Deckmedia N.V.; it does list Dama N.V., a name copycat sites use for Fair Go, but no official Fair Go page names that company (CGA register search for Fair Go).

Copycat domains and borrowed seals

Most of the casinos we cover have look-alike domains that copy the brand name, and several of those sites name a different operator or licence. For Woo Casino, Ricky Casino and Stay Casino, look-alike sites name companies that the official terms never mention. At Stay Casino one of those names, Hollycorn N.V., turns out to be the provider ACMA identified in 2022, which is why a regulator’s record outweighs anything a copy site says. Check the licence on the official domain named in the terms, not on whichever site ranks first for the brand.

A seal can be copied as easily as a logo. The Tobique Gaming Commission keeps a list of sites “displaying fraudulent information suggesting they are licensed” by it, and says it has documented “the fraudulent imitation of the Tobique Gaming Commission’s validation system” (TGC Fraudulent Sites list). The Curaçao policy says a seal that differs “in design, colour, or format” means the website is not authorised, and that a certificate showing a different domain “should be considered unauthorized or fraudulent” (CGA Certification Policy). None of the casinos we cover appeared on the Tobique list when we checked it.

Spinathlon None None Nothing to search on the site; Anjouan lists spinathlon.com under Win Top Ltd Valid (expiry date shown 2027-09-15), for Win Top Ltd’s licence Yes, by Anjouan’s seal validator and register, under a company the site does not name
Crowngreen 3-102-956921 SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA; the footer shown outside Australia names Royal Flush Ventures Limited None in the version shown in Australia; Anjouan in the footer shown elsewhere No; Anjouan lists crowngreen.com under Royal Flush Ventures Ltd Valid (expiry date shown 2026-10-31), for Royal Flush Ventures’ licence Listed on Anjouan’s register, under a company the terms shown in Australia do not name

Three findings stand out. First, every casino that names both an operator and a licence names a company that the regulator’s register lists; Gambloria, Lucky Capone and Crowngreen name a company but no licence, and none of those companies is on the registers we checked. Second, a regulator source ties the cited licence to the casino’s own domain only where a seal or certificate could be followed: the Tobique validator for Crownslots, Golden Crown Casino, Neospin and SpinRise, and the Curaçao certificates for RollXO, Goldex, Jet4Bet, Slota Casino and Spinline; Anjouan’s validator also confirms spinathlon.com, but under a licence Spinathlon itself does not cite. Elsewhere the footer seals did not render for our crawler, and the Curaçao and Tobique registers do not list websites, so the other Metlait and Novatrix sites are confirmed only by Anjouan’s register, under licences those sites do not cite. Third, Fair Go Casino, Ozwin Casino, HellSpin, CrownPlay, DragonSlots, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck give no operator or licence that can be checked at all.

WinSpirit’s licence check comes with a caveat of its own: its terms list Australia among “Excluded Territories” for anyone physically present there at the time of play (WinSpirit terms). Among the casinos we cover, those that restrict Australia themselves are Crowngreen, CrownPlay, Gambloria, Lucky Capone, Neon54, Spinathlon, StoneVegas, VikingLuck and WinSpirit. WinSpirit does so in its terms, as checked on , Gambloria both in its terms and through its site (Gambloria terms, clause 4.5), and Crowngreen in its Terms of Services, although its site still served Australian connections (Crowngreen Terms of Services, clause 5.2). CrownPlay, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck answer Australian connections with a page saying the service “is not available for your country for legal reasons”, and Lucky Capone and Spinathlon with their own block pages (VikingLuck, as shown in Australia; Spinathlon, as shown in Australia; CrownPlay, as shown in Australia; Neon54, as shown in Australia; StoneVegas, as shown in Australia; Lucky Capone, as shown in Australia). The ten casinos added to this guide were checked on 9 October 2026; Neon54’s pages could be read only in archived copies.

What a licence does not tell you

A register entry answers one question: does this company hold a licence from this regulator? It does not rate the casino, its games or its payout record, and it does not settle whether a particular website is covered.

A licence also does not guarantee that the regulator will handle your dispute. WinSpirit’s terms state that the Curaçao Gaming Authority “does not act as a mediator in individual disputes” (WinSpirit terms, section 19). The Tobique Gaming Commission says complaints about its licensees must go through the complaints link in the Tobique Shield, and that complaints sent through its own website “will not be reviewed” (TGC Complaints page). The licence check is a starting point; the withdrawal and verification terms decide what happens to your balance. Our guides to casino withdrawals and casino KYC cover those terms.

FAQ

How do I check if an online casino is licensed?

Find the company name and licence number in the casino’s terms or footer, then look up that company on the regulator’s own register. Match the registration number and read the status. Finally, confirm the website: search the register for the domain if it lists domains, as Anjouan’s does, or click the footer seal and check that the certificate opens on the regulator’s domain and names the website you are on.

Is a casino licensed if its name is not on the register?

Not necessarily unlicensed, but not confirmed either. Registers list licence holders by company name, so a brand such as SkyCrown appears only as its operator, Metlait S.R.L. Search for the company named in the terms. If the casino names no company, as with Ozwin Casino, Fair Go Casino, HellSpin, CrownPlay, DragonSlots, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck, there is nothing to search for, although a register that lists domains, as Anjouan’s does for Spinathlon, can still name the holder. If it names a company that no register lists, as Gambloria, Lucky Capone and Crowngreen do, the claim cannot be confirmed either.

What does “Assessment in progress” mean on the Curaçao register?

The register prints it as a status without defining it in the entries we read. Bizzo Casino’s and Spinline’s licence holders carry it alongside expiry dates that have passed, and the domain certificates for spinline.com and slota.casino, which share Spinline’s licence, say “Active” at the same time. We record that status as under assessment, following the register’s wording, and recheck later editions rather than treating the licence as active or expired.

Why does the Tobique validator say a casino is “NOT licensed”?

A plain domain query returns “NOT licensed” for any domain, including example.com, so it cannot tell licensed and unlicensed sites apart. The validator result that counts is the one reached through the Tobique Shield in a licensee’s footer, which the Commission says always links to validate.thetgc.ca.

Is a Curaçao or Tobique licence an Australian licence?

No. The Curaçao Gaming Authority and the Tobique Gaming Commission are not Australian regulators, and none of the casinos we cover names an Australian licence. This guide explains how to check the licences those casinos do claim; it does not cover Australian licensing.

Only once it matches the register. Footer numbers are operator claims, and copycat sites publish their own. On the Tobique register numbers are not published at all, so a Tobique licence number such as Richard Casino’s remains the operator’s statement even when the company is confirmed. Anjouan’s register prints numbers and domains, so there a number can be matched to the website too.

Change log

  1. Ten newly reviewed casinos added (Crowngreen, Crownslots, Gambloria, Lucky Capone, Neon54, Slota Casino, Spinathlon, Spinline, StoneVegas, VikingLuck)

Our licence-check table gains ten rows. New examples cover the CGA certificates of Spinline and its sister brand Slota Casino reading "Active" while the register prints "Assessment in progress" past its expiry, the domains of Gambloria and Crowngreen on Anjouan licences held by companies their terms do not name, Spinathlon's domain on an Anjouan licence although its pages name no company, and Gambloria, Lucky Capone and Crowngreen naming a company but no licence; the "every operator is on the register" finding was narrowed accordingly, and the summary and introduction now say that the Curaçao and Tobique licences are the ones named to Australian visitors, since Anjouan's register ties several of these websites to its own licences. Crownslots joins the Tobique-validator and Anjouan examples, Neon54, StoneVegas and VikingLuck join the no-operator and unresolved-seal cases, and the Australian-exclusion list and FAQ lists now cover all ten.

  2. Five newly reviewed casinos added (Jet4Bet, Lucky Ones, Goldex, DragonSlots, SpinRise)

Jet4Bet, Lucky Ones, Goldex, DragonSlots and SpinRise were reviewed and published, so the table of our licence checks now has a row for each, and the notes on casinos that name no company, or name it only outside Australia, now include them.

  3. Brand-history section now covers every operator mismatch ACMA records

The section on what a register entry cannot show used Stay Casino as its only example of ACMA naming a company other than the operator in the terms. Newly recorded warnings show the same for SkyCrown, Neospin, Richard Casino (Hollycorn N.V., Libergos Limited), Ricky Casino, Woo Casino and RocketPlay (Dama N.V.), and add 2025 warnings about Bizzo Casino and HellSpin and a 2025 warning about CrownPlay; ACMA's 2026 warning to Metlait SRL itself about SpinRise is noted as the exception.

  4. Five newly reviewed casinos added to the comparison

HellSpin, RollXO, Neospin, CrownPlay and Golden Crown were reviewed and published, so tables, counts and the casinos shown only with caveats now cover fifteen casinos instead of ten.

  5. Anjouan's register, which lists websites, added

Anjouan's Licence Register lists the domains of Richard Casino, SkyCrown, Stay Casino, Ricky Casino and Woo Casino under licences held by their operators, Metlait SRL and Novatrix SRL. This guide had said no register lists websites and that no regulator source tied any casino we cover to its domain. The method, the register comparison and the results table now cover the Anjouan register, and note that the terms these casinos show Australian visitors name only the Tobique licence.
