What stands out

A regulator source names Golden Crown’s website. The licence seal in the site footer opens the Tobique Gaming Commission (TGC) validator, which lists Metlait SRL, the registered website www.goldencrowncasino.com and an operating status of “VALID” (TGC licence validation). Of the four sister brands reviewed on this site, Neospin’s footer seal does the same for neospin.com (TGC licence validation for www.neospin.com). For Stay Casino, Richard Casino and SkyCrown, the TGC sources we hold name only the company, and their domains appear only on Anjouan’s register, under a second Metlait licence.

Golden Crown Casino publishes its limits in Australian dollars. Australia is not on the restricted-countries list in clause 2.4, and the terms give the minimum withdrawal of A$45, every withdrawal tier and the bonus amounts in AUD, so the caps do not move with the exchange rate.

The terms name an outside complaints route. Clause 15.5 lets a player take an unresolved complaint to EGIS, which the casino describes as operating under TGC regulations. Apart from a possible charge on deposits that have not been played through, the terms state no withdrawal fee of the casino’s own; intermediary banks may take “typically up to €16” on bank transfers (Golden Crown terms, clauses 9.7, 11.14 and 15.5).

Important limitations

Golden Crown’s record with the Australian regulator, set out in the box above, is the first limitation. The rest come from its own terms.

Every deposit must be wagered 3x before it can be withdrawn, whether or not a bonus is taken, and the casino may charge a fee or refuse the withdrawal if that has not happened. Verification is time-bound: a withdrawal can be cancelled and the account locked if Golden Crown cannot reach the player within 14 days of the request.

The welcome headline promises more than the bonus terms let a player keep. The first-deposit bonus goes up to A$15,000, but winnings from deposit-bonus funds are capped at five times the qualifying deposit and never more than A$7,500.

Golden Crown Casino publishes no payment table. The FAQ sends players to “our Payments page”, but that address shows the site’s “cannot be found” message, including to an Australian connection on 7 October 2026 (Golden Crown payments path, as shown in Australia). Per-method limits and transfer times, and whether PayID is offered, could not be confirmed; the logged-in cashier was not checked.

The TGC License Holders register lists Metlait S.R.L with a B2C licence recorded as active, expiring on 16 April 2027. The register shows company names, expiry dates and licence types only. The seal validator adds the company’s address and registered website, with the “VALID” status checked on 7 October 2026 (TGC licence validation). Licence no. 0000064 appears only in clause 1.1 of the terms and the site footer. Anjouan’s Licence Register also lists goldencrowncasino.com, among the domains of Metlait SRL’s second licence, ALSI-202509073-FI2, recorded as active; the terms and footer shown to Australian visitors do not name it.

ACMA’s 2022 formal warnings named different providers, as the next subsection explains. We did not check Metlait SRL against the Costa Rica company registry, so its registration number is recorded as the operator states it. The official site is goldencrowncasino.com, served from www.goldencrowncasino.com with Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and German versions. Numbered and look-alike domains also carry the Golden Crown name, and several of them are on ACMA’s list; we treated none of them as evidence.

ACMA’s 2022 formal warnings

ACMA began investigating the Stay Casino and Golden Crown Casino services on 22 September 2021 under section 21 of the Interactive Gambling Act. Its first warning of 22 February 2022 is addressed to Hollycorn N.V. of Willemstad, Curaçao, and names https://www.goldencrowncasino.com and https://www.staycasino.com as the addresses at which the services were available (ACMA formal warning to Hollycorn N.V.). A second warning, of the same date and from the same investigation, is addressed to Libergos Limited of Nicosia, Cyprus, and finds that Libergos Limited, “as the provider of the Stay Casino and Golden Crown Casino services”, contravened subsection 15(2A) (ACMA formal warning to Libergos Limited). We could not establish whether Hollycorn N.V., Libergos Limited and Metlait SRL are related, or when Metlait SRL took over the brand.

Account verification (KYC)

Golden Crown Casino holds every withdrawal until verification is complete, and the terms allow document checks, a phone call and, in some cases, a video check.

How verification interacts with a withdrawal

What the terms state: Withdrawals stay pending until KYC (documents and possibly a phone call) is complete. If the casino cannot reach the player by phone or email within two weeks of the withdrawal request, the account is locked and the withdrawal cancelled. Verified — operator's own pages

Our analysis:

The deadline runs from the withdrawal request, so a missed phone call or email can be enough to trigger it. Documents must be in Latin or Cyrillic script, or the casino may ask for a video of the player holding their ID, and players who want to use Bitcoin must submit ID before they can deposit or bet (clauses 9.5 and 2.7). Golden Crown’s own pages disagree on how long checks take: the FAQ says identity confirmation “might take from 24 to 48 hours”, while the AML policy says documents “will be reviewed within 30 working days” (Golden Crown FAQ; Golden Crown AML policy). Deposits and withdrawals

Golden Crown’s terms set a minimum withdrawal of A$45 for AUD accounts and aim to process withdrawals within 0–48 hours, counted from approval rather than from the request. A single withdrawal is capped at “AUD 15,000”, and “If the requested amount exceeds the limit of a particular payment system, the amount will be withdrawn in installments” (Golden Crown terms, clauses 11.1 and 11.6).

The terms name Visa and Mastercard for deposits, “as well as alternative methods (e-wallets, bank transfers, etc.)”, and pay card withdrawals through Visa’s Original Credit Transfer and Mastercard’s Payment Transfer to personal cards issued in “a supported country”, without listing those countries. Bank transfer is a payout method, and clause 11.1 sets withdrawal minimums for six cryptocurrencies (Golden Crown terms, clauses 10.1, 11.1 and 11.3). The footer shown to an Australian connection also carries MiFinity, Paysafecard and Interac logos, but no page states their limits or availability, so they are not listed as methods here (Golden Crown homepage, as shown in Australia).

PayID is not mentioned in Golden Crown’s terms or on any logged-out page shown to an Australian connection, so we cannot confirm it as a deposit or withdrawal option. That is not proof that the cashier lacks it. See PayID casinos for sites that list it.

Card payouts are limited. Clause 11.12 returns card withdrawals only up to the player’s “total net deposit” and pays any excess by another method, and clause 11.5 lets the casino choose a different payout method “at our sole discretion” (Golden Crown terms). Clause 11.13 says bank transfers are processed in up to 3 business days.

Golden Crown’s marketing promises faster payouts than its terms. The homepage shows “10 MIN Average cashout time.” and the FAQ says that on the casino’s side a withdrawal “usually takes no more than an hour” (Golden Crown homepage; Golden Crown FAQ). Neither is a commitment; the terms commit only to the processing aim above.

Withdrawal limits rise with total deposits

Our analysis:

Clause 11.8 sets the limits shown in the key facts for accounts that have deposited up to “4,500 AUD” in total. Clause 11.9 raises the daily limit to “7,500 AUD/CAD/NZD” and the weekly limit to “22,500 AUD /CAD/NZD” for accounts with “4,500–15,000 AUD” in deposits, with the same monthly figure. Clause 11.10 allows “15,000 AUD/CAD/NZD per day”, “30,000 AUD/CAD/NZD per week” and “90,000 AUD/CAD/NZD per month” once deposits reach “15,000–150,000+ AUD”. Wins above “90,000 AUD” may be split into monthly instalments, while progressive jackpots are paid in full, and “VIP Gamblers can be an exception” to every tier (Golden Crown terms, clauses 11.8 to 11.11). Clause 11.8’s wording (“deposited a total of 4,500 AUD”) overlaps the next tier’s starting point, so a player near that total should ask which tier applies. Clause 11.7 separately caps winnings from no-deposit bonuses.

Cancelling a pending withdrawal

Our analysis:

The terms do not say whether a player can cancel a pending withdrawal and return the money to their balance. They give that power only to the casino: clause 2.6 lets it “refuse or reverse withdrawals” when country restrictions are breached, and clause 8.1 lets it cancel pending withdrawals on duplicate accounts. Welcome bonus and wagering

Golden Crown’s first-deposit bonus is a 100% match up to A$15,000 with 300 free spins on the BGaming pokie Bonanza Billion, released in daily sets over ten days. The bonus and the free-spin winnings carry 40x wagering, and the general bonus terms give up to 14 days to complete it. The promotions page shown to an Australian connection on 7 October 2026 carried the same offer (Golden Crown promotions, as shown in Australia).

The Australian bonus cap does not match the rest of Golden Crown’s currency table. The same clause caps the bonus at “1,000 EUR/USD • 1,500 CAD • 15,000 AUD/NZD”, so the AUD figure is fifteen times the euro figure while the Canadian one is one and a half times; the minimum deposit, maximum bet and free-spin cap in the same section all follow the smaller ratio (Golden Crown bonus terms). Whatever the reason, the general cap on deposit-bonus winnings is half the advertised maximum bonus.

The second-deposit and third-deposit bonuses (“75% UP TO $750 + 50 FREE SPINS” and “50% UP TO $750”) are listed as separate promotions, not as a package with a stated total (Golden Crown promotions). The bonus terms we read describe no current no-deposit offer; they only cap winnings from any sign-up no-deposit bonus at “75 AUD/CAD/NZD” and require a deposit before those winnings can be withdrawn (Golden Crown bonus terms). Our analysis:

Pokies count in full, but Golden Crown blocks a long list of them while a bonus is active: all jackpot slots, every EGT title and about sixty named games, including Book of Dead, Immortal Romance, Reactoonz, Thunderstruck II, Dead or Alive 2 and Legacy of Dead. Table, live casino and lottery games count only “5%” (Golden Crown bonus terms). Bonus abuse rules also forbid lowering stakes after a large win and postponing bonus rounds until wagering is complete.

Games and providers

Golden Crown claims “10.000+ Licensed games”, recorded here as 10,000+, and its lobby filter lists about 150 studios (Golden Crown homepage). The About Us page names Belatra Games, BGaming, Playreels, iSoftBet and Nolimit City as the platform’s providers. These are operator figures; we did not count the lobby or check whether a pokies-only count exists.

The provider filter includes NetEnt and Amatic, but section 3 of the terms lists NetEnt games as blacklisted in Australia and Amatic as restricted in Australia, so Australian accounts should not expect those titles (Golden Crown terms). Mobile

Golden Crown runs in the mobile browser, and its “Install App” page adds the website to the home screen rather than linking to an app store. The Android steps read “Open Golden Crown in Chrome browser on your Android device”, then tell the user to press the site’s “Install app” button (Golden Crown Install App page), so we could not confirm a native iOS or Android app.

Responsible-gambling tools

Golden Crown’s Responsible Gaming page documents deposit, loss and wager limits, a cooling-off period and self-exclusion, but not session limits or reality checks. A lower limit applies at once; a higher one needs email confirmation and waits until the current limit expires.

Crypto weakens these controls at Golden Crown. The page says deposit limits “cannot always be applied to cryptocurrency transactions” and that some crypto deposits “may still be successfully processed while the Cooling-Off limit is active”, and clause 10.5 of the terms adds that crypto deposits have no upper limit (Golden Crown Responsible Gaming page). The page lists Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and Gambling Therapy for outside help, but no Australian service; our gambling harm support page lists Australian ones.

Our analysis:

The rule applies to every deposit, with or without a bonus and on any game, so a player who deposits and changes their mind cannot take the money back untouched. Unplayed deposits add up: several deposits without play in between must all be wagered before any withdrawal. The fee the casino may charge instead is not quantified anywhere in the terms.

Missed verification can cost the balance

Our analysis:

This clause can turn a pending withdrawal into a loss rather than a delay. A window of 14 days is short for anyone travelling or slow to answer an unknown number, and it is shorter than the review time in Golden Crown’s own AML policy. Having ID, a recent utility bill or bank statement and a photo of the payment card ready before the first withdrawal is the practical safeguard.

Winnings from the welcome bonus are capped

Our analysis:

The cap is the lower of five times the qualifying deposit and the fixed ceiling, so a smaller deposit means a smaller cap. Anything above it “cannot be withdrawn and will be canceled”. Free-spin winnings from the welcome offer have their own cap of A$225. A player who wins well with a bonus active keeps only the capped part of those winnings.

Dormant accounts are charged

What the terms state: A monthly dormancy fee of €20 (or currency equivalent) may be deducted from the balance; a balance under €20 is deducted in full. Deductions continue each month until the balance reaches zero or the player logs in and places a wager. Verified — operator's own pages

Our analysis:

The terms reserve the right to charge the fee every month until the balance is gone, so a forgotten balance can be used up over time. Logging in and placing a wager resets the account; withdrawing the remaining balance before leaving avoids the fee.

Several other clauses in the general terms deserve a mention:

• Disputes. Clause 17 requires arbitration “exclusively” in Costa Rica, clause 15.3 makes the casino’s server logs “final and binding”, and clause 13 bars claims filed more than “one (1) year” after they arose.
• Bonus abuse. Clause 9.4 voids bonuses and winnings for behaviour including “Maintaining a deposits-to-bonus ratio exceeding 50%” and placing maximum bets on high-variance games to inflate wagering.
• Duplicate accounts. Clause 8.1 treats accounts sharing an address, household, IP address or device as duplicates, which can be closed with winnings confiscated.
• Refunds. Clause 14.1 requires refund requests for a legitimate transaction “within 24 hours of the transaction”.

How it compares

Golden Crown Casino has four confirmed sister brands on this site: Neospin, Stay Casino, Richard Casino and SkyCrown. All five casino records name Metlait SRL as operator and cite TGC licence no. 0000064, and Anjouan’s register lists all five domains under a second Metlait licence. Neospin is the only one of the four whose TGC seal, like Golden Crown’s, names its domain.

ACMA has formally warned a company it named as provider of each of these five brands: Stay Casino and Golden Crown Casino (Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited, 22 February 2022), SkyCrown (Hollycorn N.V., 18 August 2022; ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V.), Neospin (Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited, 26 October 2022; Hollycorn N.V. again, 16 April 2025; ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2022, ACMA warning to Libergos Limited, 2022, ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., 2025) and Richard Casino (Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited, 12 June 2024; ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V., ACMA warning to Libergos Limited). None of those warnings names Metlait SRL. ACMA’s warning of 25 May 2026 about SpinRise, another brand whose terms name Metlait SRL, is addressed to Metlait SRL itself (ACMA warning to Metlait SRL).

Is Golden Crown Casino legit?

Golden Crown Casino has an Australian regulator record: in February 2022 ACMA formally warned Hollycorn N.V. and Libergos Limited, each of which it named as the provider of Golden Crown Casino, and the domain is on ACMA’s blocked list (ACMA warning to Hollycorn N.V.; ACMA warning to Libergos Limited). Its current terms name Metlait SRL, and the Tobique Gaming Commission’s validator lists Metlait SRL and www.goldencrowncasino.com with a “VALID” status. Whether that is acceptable is a personal judgement; the deposit, verification and bonus rules above are the terms to read first.

Is Golden Crown Casino blocked in Australia?

Yes, ACMA’s list of blocked gambling websites includes goldencrowncasino.com, as checked on 7 October 2026. From Australian connections on 7 October 2026, some requests were redirected to ACMA’s block page while others reached the site, whose cookie banner asks visitors to confirm “I am currently accessing this website outside of Australia” (Golden Crown homepage, as shown in Australia).    Added ACMA's second 2022 formal warning, to Libergos Limited, and the sister brands' warnings

   ACMA issued a second formal warning dated 22 February 2022, from the same investigation, to Libergos Limited of Nicosia, Cyprus, stating that it "is the provider of the Stay Casino and Golden Crown Casino services". An earlier version of this review described only the warning to Hollycorn N.V. and mentioned no ACMA warning for the other Metlait brands, although ACMA has formally warned a company it named as provider of each of them. The summary, the regulator box, the operator section, the limitations, the comparison and the FAQ now reflect this.
